Leaving Cert Maths Revision Course

Monday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |             Fee €95

This course is designed to benefit students studying the Leaving Cert Ordinary Level Maths course. It will provide additional support for all those taking this exam in 2013.

  

Art Class

Thursday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |           Fee €95

Learn the basic concepts of art and develop your artistic skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Beginners welcome.


Computers for Beginners

Monday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |             Fee €95

Computers are at the very heart of modern life. If you feel a little left behind or need to develop your confidence when using computers, then this course is for you. The course will introduce you to the functionality of computers and most common and useful applications in a clear and easy to understand manner.


 Keep Fit Circuit\CardioTraining

Monday & Thursday 7.30pm – 8.30pm & 8.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |             Fee €95

These classes are one hour in duration twice a week. You can sign up for the early or later class. Improved fitness will improve your health. All ages and fitness levels will be catered for. Places are limited in each class so be sure to book early.

 

 Cookery for Beginners

Monday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |             Fee €95

Learn to cook delicious meals with a professional chef. Participants will be required to provide their own ingredients. Places are limited in each class so be sure to book early.


Improving English-Language Skills

Monday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |             Fee €95

This is a practical course for people from non- English speaking backgrounds who would like to improve their level of English conversation and writing.

Content covered will include; conversation & pronunciation practice, greetings & introductions, reading, listening & understanding skills, writing skills - letters & emails, vocabulary review,  grammar review and managing official documents and application forms.

 

European Computer Drivers Licence (ECDL)

Thursday 7.00pm – 10.00pm | Duration: 16 weeks   |        Fee €475

The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the world’s most successful IT skills certification programme. To date, 10 million people have undertaken the ECDL programme in more than 60 countries worldwide.  This course gives everyone the opportunity to enhance their computer skills while earning a qualification that is recognised and valued by employers. 


 Photography

Thursday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |           Fee €95

 The aim of this course is to help beginners understand the various settings on their digital camera and save their images to a computer; how to compose portraits and landscapes; when to use flash on a sunny day; how to reduce reflections and red eyes and how to take night photography. You will be given a photo project each week and the tutor will critique your images the following week. The class will also include a basic introduction to photo retouching.

 

Mandarin Chinese

Thursday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |           Fee €95

Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world. China is one of the most important trading partners for Ireland and will become even more important in the coming years. This course will be taught by a native speaker and is designed for beginners. It will be an enjoyable way of broadening your perspective and perhaps opening new doors for you.


Business & Workplace English-Language Skills

Thursday 7.30pm – 9.30pm | Duration: 8 weeks   |           Fee €95

 This course is suited to all participants from non-English speaking backgrounds who would like to improve their level of English specifically for business and the workplace.

Content covered will include; workplace vocabulary & grammar; jobs, careers & responsibilities; interview techniques; dealing with visitors; telephone skills; dealing with complaints; writing skills - letters, emails, minutes & reports, drafting a CV; meetings & presentations.


All classes begin in the week starting Monday 24th September 2012. Advance booking is imperative.
