LGBTQ+ Ally Club

At our school, inclusion and respect are at the heart of who we are. Our LGBTQ+ ally club, The Lavender Lunch, meets every Thursday at lunchtime and provides a safe, welcoming space for students who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and for those who stand proudly as allies.

The Lavender Lunch is more than just a club, it’s a community built on kindness, understanding, and acceptance. Students come together to share experiences, support one another, and help shape a school culture where everyone feels seen, valued, and free to be themselves. The strong and growing turnout each week reflects our students’ commitment to equality and mutual respect.

We are currently working towards the Belong To Quality Mark, a national recognition of schools that champion LGBTQ+ inclusion. This goal reflects our ongoing commitment to creating an environment where all students feel safe, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

Stand up Week is a big event in BCC, each year, our whole school community comes out it support. Click here for photos from Stand up Week 2024

At our school, we take pride in standing firmly against bullying and discrimination of any kind. The Lavender Lunch embodies our belief that every student deserves a place where they belong.
