Prefects

Message from our Head Prefects, Tara Clarke and Liam Murphy

It is our privilege to be the ones to welcome you to our school. We encourage you to make the most out of your time here as we have, and we are excited to see what you are all capable of!

As prefects, our main role is to represent the students within our school, and to work with all branches of the school to ensure the students are getting all the support they need. One of our main responsibilities is to help ease in 1st Years as they acclimate to their new environment. We regularly meet with 1st years in groups to calm their nerves and answer any questions they may have. All prefects wear badges to identify themselves, and any student from any year is completely welcome to flag any of our team down if they have any problems to be solved, questions to ask, or just seeking advice. Don’t be nervous to ask, we were all 1st years once!

A secondary duty of ours is to help in the running of Open Evenings, Parent’s Council events and Parent Teacher meetings, so we may be a familiar face to you :) If teachers need us, we are there. At Open Evenings, we are both the guides and the timekeepers for the event, and we make sure you see all the school facilities in good time.

We hope to get to know you soon, and a very warm welcome to our school.

Kind regards,
Tara and Liam
